March 16, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jersey Express News Release

Newark, NJ. On Sunday, March 19th at 2pm, the Newark Express will battle the Rochester RazorSharks in the 2nd round of the 2006 ABA Playoffs. Rochester is currently tied for #1 and will host the "Great Eight" Championship Series scheduled for March 22nd thru March 26th.

This match-up presents an interesting challenge for the Express. When asked if her team was up to the challenge, co-owner Marsha Blount put it this way: "Upset the #1 ranked team in the league on their home floor? Upset the balance of the championship series by eliminating the host team? Yes, I think we're up for the challenge. This will be the game of the season, one that will propel us into the upper echelon of the league."

"This will be a GREAT game," co-owner Jacqui Halyard stated. "All the makings of a good drama, with intrigue, suspense, and the potential of an upset."

Stay tuned..."It's going to be an amazing ride."
