Sunday, Mar. 1 | vs. Peterborough Petes @ 6:05 P.M.

Sunday's game is sure to be an exciting one as the rival Peterborough Petes are in town to take on your Generals. The Peterborough Petes (22-28-1-5) are currently eighth place in the Eastern Conference, bouncing back and forth in the standings with the Kingston Frontenacs and Mississauga Steelheads. Right-wingers, Eric Cornel and Josh MacDonald are leading the Petes offense this season, with 47 and 46 points respectively this season. Michael Clarke, an OHL veteran and overager is another player to look out for. The London, ON native has posted 43 points (19 goals, 24 assists) in 47 games this season. Clarke was drafted to the Colorado Avalanche in the fifth round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. A Petes Gens matchup always provides great entertainment and Sunday's game is sure to be no exception.

The Generals

For the 13th week in a row, the Generals remain at the top of the BMO CHL Top 10 Rankings. With 93 points in 57 games, the Generals continue to dominate the Eastern Conference, even despite losing two of three games last weekend. The Generals bounced back on Sunday, earning a 5-3 win over the Ottawa 67's on home ice. The win secured the Eastern Division title for the Generals for the second year in a row. With only five regular season home games remaining, there is no better time to come out and see the top ranked team in the CHL live in action. Left-winger, Michael Dal Colle has had a 15 point month with eight goals and seven assists in the month of February, and looks to secure his final points of the month on Friday night. He remains the top scorer on the team with 37 goals and 47 assists for 84 points total in 49 games played this season. Cole Cassels is second in scoring with 25 goals and 45 assists for 70 points in 45 games. Following closely behind are Tobias Lindberg, Michael McCarron, and Matt Mistele, third, fourth, and fifth in scoring on the Generals roster. It's a busy weekend ahead and sure to be full of high intensity, hard hitting, junior hockey.
