Raptors 905 (1-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors defeated the Iowa Wolves (1-1) 124-128 Saturday afternoon. The 905 were led by Raptors assignee Dalano Banton who put up a 35-point, 10-rebound double-double, adding three assists, and a career-high five blocks in the loss. D.J. Carton led the Wolves putting up his own double-double with 32 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds.

The two teams exchanged baskets back-and-forth throughout the first quarter. Reggie Perry (25 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks) kept the 905 within striking distance putting up 13 first-quarter points, however, the Wolves went on to outscore the visitors 35-30. The 905 quickly found their rhythm as they opened the second quarter on an 8-0 run, and eventually outscoring the Wolves by seven. The visitors took the two-point advantage going into the half behind a tip-in basket from Banton with 0.1 seconds on the clock.

The Wolves came out of the break strong, going on a 10-2 run and outscoring the 905 by 12 in the frame. The 905 mounted their comeback bid in the final frame as they outscored the Wolves 39-32 but were unable to come away with the win in Des Moines.

The 905 saw complementary scoring from Sterling Brown who put up 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks. The Wolves were paced by Philip Wheeler who added 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists in the victory.

The Raptors 905 travel to Long Island to take on the Nets Monday, tip-off slated for 7:00 pm. Iowa continue their homestand as they host the Texas Legends, tomorrow at 3:00 pm.
