Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis 901 FC will look to notch their third consecutive victory and maintain the top spot in the eastern conference in Saturday's match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
901 fc went 2-0 last week with home victories over FC Tulsa and Detroit City FC. Memphis is currently tied for 3rd in the league in conversion rate at 19% and tied 3rd in goals scored at 32.
901 fc took the 3-1 victory over Tampa bay in their match earlier this season at autozone park as phillip goodrum scored the fastest goal in club history, hitting the back of the net in the first minute.
Tampa Bay currently sits at third in the eastern conference standings, five points behind Memphis and has not lost a match since their April 30 loss to San Diego Loyal SC.

Memphis doubled the lead in the 89th minute as Goodrum found the back of the net off a through ball from Derek Dodson. Goodrum is currently tied for third in the USL Championship with nine goals scored this season.
Smith was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after his performance in the matches against Tulsa and Detroit City. Molloy earned an honorable mention. Trey Muse was nominated for the save of the week after a full body stretch dive saved 901 FC's clean sheet against Tulsa.
901 FC has gone 10-0-1 when scoring first and has scored 19 of their 32 goals in the first half.
Memphis 901 FC moved to 11-3-2 on the season with the win.
Quotables
On maintaining form against Tampa:
"You play for each other and you play for this community. That's what we try to do. Obviously, we've got a lot of tough matches coming up but (last week) was as tough as it gets. We played great. I'm really excited for our group. I think Tampa will be a team looking to avenge some stuff from last match. They're the hottest team in the league right now." - Ben Pirmann
On the team's current momentum:
"It's a full team effort. It's all 11 guys putting in the work. We have a lot of confidence, we can play a lot of different styles. When you're on a streak like this, you just try and ride it. It's a cliche, but you try to get not too high and not too low. You just try to get better every day." - Graham Smith
