FRISCO-The Roughriders struck for three eighth-inning runs off an erractic Gerardo Reyes to pull out a 6-5 win over the Missions Saturday night at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.
San Antonio scored three runs of its own in the seventh inning to go in front, 5-3.
Nick Schulz clubbed a two-run homer, his second in as many nights, and Michael Gettys doubled home the other run in the frame.
Reyes worked a scoreless seventh but allowed an leadoff homerun to Jose Cardona to get begin the next inning, bringing the 'Riders to within one.
The Missions reliever suddenly lost his ability to throw strikes, walking three batters in the inning, with his final free pass forcing in the tying run.
Michael De Leon singled home the decisive run moments later.
Josh Naylor slugged his 14th homer of the season and added a double for San Antonio, which fell back into third place in the South Division, a half game back of Frisco.
Corpus Christi also won its game, putting the Missions 3 1/2 games behind the first-place Hooks.
NOTES: Infielder River Stevens was activated from the disabled list after missing six weeks with a shoulder injury. Fernando Tatis, Jr. was placed on the DL following his thumb injury on Thursday night.
