75th anniversary celebration

WINNIPEG, MB – Fans of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are invited to help the team celebrate 75 years of great football FRIDAY, JUNE 10 beginning at noon at the Manitoba Legislature.

Premier Gary Doer will be on hand to officially proclaim the day Winnipeg Blue Bombers Day.

There will also be presentations by a host of other dignitaries including Lieutenant Governor John Harvard, Manitoba Opposition leader Stuart Murray, provincial Liberal leader Jon Gerrard, Mayor Sam Katz, Bomber chairman Ken Hildahl and Bomber alumni president Bob Toogood.

Blue Bombers president Lyle Bauer will act as the Master of Ceremonies. The Labatt Blue Lightning Dance Team and mascots Buzz and Boomer will also be in attendance for the festivities.

Bomber fans will be treated to a piece of birthday cake to celebrate the club's 75th birthday.

All of the events will take place on the south side of the Legislative grounds.
