
6th Annual K+S Potash Canada Warriors Alumni Golf Tournament July 9 and 10

The Moose Jaw Warriors are excited to announce the return of K+S Potash Canada as the title sponsor for the upcoming 6th Annual Alumni Golf Tournament July 9 and 10.
"K+S Potash Canada's support to our organizations Alumni Golf Tournament has been amazing over the past couple of years," commented Warriors Director of Business Operations Corey Nyhagen. "Their involvement allows us to host this first class event each year which raises money for our Education Fund, which helps our former players continue their education."
"The Warriors golf tournament is truly the biggest tournament in Moose Jaw and probably the biggest in the WHL," said Tournament Committee Chair Todd Hudson. "This event brings the business community, the Warriors, and their Alumni together to raise money for the Education Fund. As we are all aware not many of these kids play hockey passed this point in their lives, I think it's only fitting that we can give something back to them for giving us years of great entertainment."
Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10 local golfers will team up with current and past Warriors and raise money for the teams Education Fund. The event opens Thursday with registration and a social, Friday morning golfers will be treated to breakfast before teeing off at the Hillcrest Golf Club at 10am.
7429547879000Thursday night's social will feature Jim Ralph, the radio colour commentator for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Ralph is best known for his dry, self-deprecating sense of humour, and his comical impersonations of Canadian sportscasters including Foster Hewitt, Danny Gallivan, Bob Cole, and Don Cherry. He spent seven years as a minor league goaltender, after retiring from hockey in 1989, Jim began his broadcasting career.
Many high profile Warriors Alumni are expected to return plus many current players have committed to playing.
The Western Hockey League is currently one of the leading providers of post-secondary scholarships in Western Canada. The Moose Jaw Warriors contribute $100,000 annually for their graduated players. To date, this tournament has successfully raised just shy of $400,000 and the goal this year is to raise close to $100,000 for the Warriors Education Fund.
K+S Potash Canada is a very proud sponsor of the Moose Jaw Warriors 2015 Alumni Golf Tournament. K+S is currently building and recruiting for the Legacy Project, a solution potash mine located 40km from Moose Jaw near Bethune, Saskatchewan. The Legacy Project is the first new potash mine in Saskatchewan in nearly 40 years, with production targeted for 2016 and looking to hire approximately 150 positions in the next year.
