Ottawa 67's News Release

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's held a season-opening press conference on Wednesday as the club prepares to kick off it's 2018-2019 OHL campaign at home on Friday night.

Head Coach and VP of Hockey Operations Andre Tourigny said fans should be excited about the talent level of this year's group of Barber Poles.

"We are in a position where everyone is fighting for ice time in a healthy environment, and when you have that it creates competition inside our locker room," Tourigny said. "'We are not focusing on results right now we are only focusing on the process and getting better every day, and if we do that, we know we will get good results''.

Defenceman Hudson Wilson, who is entering his fourth year with the 67's, said this year's roster is the most skilled group he's played with in his major junior career.

"'I've been here for four years and I've never had a group be this exciting to be a part of,'' said Wilson. "'We have a great locker room, everyone gets along well and we're excited to get going."

There's something for everyone at 67's games this year, with special promotions at every game day. These include

Wayback Wednesdays ($15 tickets, $5 parking)

Friday Night Live! (party zone in the general admission section, $7 Bud/Bud Light until the end of the first period, ticket and a beer for $20).

I Heart Hockey Saturdays (alumni autographs during the game, ticket/pop/bottomless popcorn for $25)

Family Sunday Fundays (ticket, pop and hotdog for $25, kid zone, post-game skate)

The 67's host the Mississauga Steelheads at TD Place on Friday night. Click here for tickets to the home opener and take advantage of a special offer that includes a game ticket and a beer for just $20.
