67's Playoff Opener Tickets Now Available

Ottawa 67's News Release

(Ottawa ON.): The Ottawa 67's today announced that tickets for the opening game of their first-round OHL playoffs are now available by linking from the 67's website (www.Ottawa67s.com). The game, against an as yet undetermined opponent, will be played at Scotia Bank Place on Saturday March 26th at 2:00 PM. The schedule for other first-round games will be confirmed as soon as the team's opponent is known.

The 67's, who have battled hard for home-ice advantage in the playoffs, must vacate their regular home, the Rona Centre, to accommodate the annual "Home Show," which sets-up on Thursday March 24th and runs through the following weekend. It's been an almost annual Home Show forced exodus for the 67's since they were founded, but that will come to an end after this season when all trade shows move from Lansdowne Park to a new facility now under construction near the airport.

The 67's will play either Sudbury, Kingston or Brampton in the first round, depending on the outcome of games this weekend. The 67's could clinch first place in their division with a win over Oshawa this Friday evening at the Rona Centre, which would mean they'd likely play Sudbury, the team against which they close the regular season at the Rona Centre this Sunday afternoon. A loss to the Generals on Friday would lift Oshawa to within 1 point of the 67's with a game-in-hand, further complicating the playoff picture. The only sure thing at this point is that it's an exciting way to finish the regular season. Tickets for this weekend's games are available from the 67's website or at the Rona Centre box office on game day._
