67's Defenceman Matthew Mayich Selected 170th Overall by St. Louis Blues

OTTAWA - Ottawa 67's defenceman Matthew Mayich has been selected in the sixth round, 170th overall, by the St. Louis Blues in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Mayich, 18, set new career high's in all statistical categories, during the 2022-23 season. The Stoney Creek, Ontario native dressed in 64 games, scoring five goals and 17 assists, for 22 points, with a +22 rating, establishing himself as a key piece on the 67's back end. Mayich added four assists in 11 playoff games, as well.

Selected in the fourth round, 74th overall, by Ottawa in the 2020 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, Mayich made his OHL debut in 2021-22. He played in 60 games, posting three goals and eight assists, for 11 points, and dressed in all four postseason contests, adding in an assist.
