Ottawa 67's News Release

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's continue to add depth and experience to their roster prior to the OHL Trade Deadline acquiring centre Zack Dorval on Tuesday from the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for a 4th round pick (from Sarnia) in 2017.

"With Zack we've added a competitive, hardworking and proven player in this league," said 67's Head Coach and GM Jeff Brown. "He gives us some solid depth going forward and brings some vital playoff experience into our locker room."

A former second round pick, Dorval has spent three seasons in Kingston logging more than 130 games for the Fronts and is in the midst of a career season posting highs in assists and points.

The Hearst, ON native adds experience and depth to a 67's team that continues to battle for playoff positioning starting Thursday night in Niagara. Dorval, who is fluently bilingual, will be joined by another newcomer, Chris Martenet, who the 67's acquired from the London Knights on Monday.

Fans will get their first chance see the new additions to the 67's when Ottawa returns home to The Arena at TD Place Tuesday, January 24 against the Mississauga Steelheads at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available online at Ottawa67s.com, by phone at 613.232.6767 X1 or in person at The Box Office at TD Place.
