67's Acquire Local Netminder Ian Michelone from Windsor

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's have acquired goaltender Ian Michelone from the Windsor Spitfires, in exchange for a 12th-round pick in the 2026 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

Michelone, 19, was selected in the second round, 36th overall, by the Flint Firebirds in the 2021 U18 Priority Selection. The Kanata native has spent the last three seasons with the Spitfires, and in 2023-24, has posted a 4-4-0-0 record through ten games, with an .871 save percentage.

"Ian is a local product who is an experienced Ontario Hockey League goaltender," said 67's General Manager James Boyd. "We are excited to have Ian join our club and look forward to playing a part in his future development."

In a corresponding move, Max Donoso has been claimed by Windsor, in accordance with the OHL waiver process.

"Max has been a key part of our 67's team for a number of seasons," added Boyd. "We are very happy that Max will be able to continue his OHL career with his hometown Spitfires, and we all wish Max the very best."

An overager, and Windsor product, Donoso has spent all three seasons of his OHL career with the 67's. Through 99 regular season games, he has posted a record of 51-29-3-7.
