66ers Fall Short in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8, 2012 - Marcus Lewis recorded his 21st double-double of the season with 17 points and a team-high 11 rebounds and Jerome Dyson added 19 points, but the Tulsa 66ers (15-15) fell on the road to the Los Angeles D-Fenders (21-10) by a 110-98 final score Wednesday night.

Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Robert Vaden with 17 and Curtis Sumpter with 16.

The 66ers tallied 25 assists as a team, led by six dishes from both Dyson and Vaden.

Defensively, Tulsa forced 13 Los Angeles turnovers and created six steals, led by two thefts from Dyson.

The D-Fenders, who currently stand in second place in the Western Conference, were led in scoring by Gerald Green with a game-high 31 points. Otis George paced the team in rebounds with 13 boards.

The 66ers return to the court this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10 and 11, with back-to-back road games against the Bakersfield Jam. Both contests are scheduled to tip at 9 p.m. CT.
