66ers Announce 2011 Schedule

San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers, a Class 'A' affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, released their schedule for the 2011 season today.

The 66ers will celebrate the start of the 2011 season with a seven-game homestand at Arrowhead Credit Union Park which will begin on Thursday, April 7th against their I-10 rivals, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Following a four-game set with the Quakes, the High Desert Mavericks will visit San Bernardino to finish out Opening Week.

The 2011 schedule includes 12 home meetings between the 66ers and their "Future Freeway Series" rivals, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Inland Empire also hosts 14 matchups at Arrowhead Credit Union Park with the Sixers' southern rivals, the Lake Elsinore Storm, the Padres' California League Affiliate. Amongst the Sixers' other rival teams in the Southern Division, the High Desert Mavericks will visit for 11 meetings, and the Lancaster JetHawks will make three trips to town for a total of 10 games.

All of the Northern Division teams in the California League (San Jose, Visalia, Modesto, Stockton, and Bakersfield) will each visit Arrowhead Credit Union Park for at least one series during the 2011 season, with Visalia and Stockton each making a second trip.

Twelve of the 66ers' home dates will fall on the popular "Fifty Cent Friday". On these days, fans will be able to enjoy 50 cent hot dogs and quesadillas, $2.50 beers and sodas, as well as $2 lawn admissions. Ten of the 66ers' 70 home dates fall on Saturday, and like most seasons the Sixers will have a giveaway item or fireworks offered on a majority of those nights. The 2011 promotional schedule will be released at a later date.

The popular July 4th Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular Game is back, as the 66ers will host the Visalia Rawhide.

The 2011 regular season home schedule will wrap up on Monday, September 5th with the finale of a four-game series against the Stockton Ports.
