
51s Host Portland in Four-Game Home Stand Over Memorial Day Weekend

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will return to Cashman Field to open a brief four-game home stand over the Memorial Day Weekend. Las Vegas will host the Portland Beavers, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, from Friday-Monday, May 25-28.
The 51s, under first-year manager Lorenzo Bundy, are concluding an eight-game Pacific Northwest road trip on Thursday in Tacoma, Wash. Las Vegas has a record of 21-23 in the Pacific Southern Division and trail first-place Sacramento by 5 ½ games.
The opener of the four-game series on Friday will begin at 7:11 p.m. The 51s, celebrating their "25th PCL Season," will present another spectacular post-game fireworks show.
Game two of the series on Saturday will also begin at 7:11 p.m. The game will feature L.A. Dodger Fleece Blanket Night, given to the first 2,500 fans in attendance. The second of six Carl's Jr. Family Nights will also be presented. The Carl's Jr. Family Night Deal is a great way for the family to enjoy a night of 51s baseball at the ball park. The Carl's Jr. Deal includes: Starting at just $24.95 (plus $5 handling fee), fans receive: 4 tickets to a 51s game; 4 Las Vegas 51s hats; 4 Carl's Jr. Value Meals (Western Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwich or Famous Star, regular fries & a fountain drink) - Carl's Jr. meals not available at ball park, redeemable at any Las Vegas Carl's Jr. location and 4 Meadow Gold ice cream sandwiches, redeemable only at Cashman Field. The final two games of the series will feature matinee games at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 27 and Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day).
The 51s will then continue their stretch of 16 out of 20 road games (May 17 - June 5) with an eight-game road trip to Tennessee against the American Conference Northern Division. Las Vegas will face the Nashville Sounds, Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, from Tuesday-Friday, May 29 - June 1 and the Memphis Redbirds, Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, from Saturday-Tuesday, June 2-5.
Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the Cashman Field box office. The box office is open Monday-Friday from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through TicketMaster (474-4000, www.ticketmaster.com). TicketMaster outlets are located at selected Smith's Food & Drug, Ritmo Latino and Macy's, located at The Fashion Show & The Galleria Mall.
The individual game tickets for the 72-game home season are priced at $8.00 (general admission), $9.00 (reserved), $11.00 (plaza) and $13 (field). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, reserved and G.A. seats throughout the season except for the holiday fireworks shows on June 30 & July 3.
