Jarrett Hoffpauir singled in the top of the tenth inning, scoring Mike McCoy, as the Las Vegas 51s rallied for single runs in the top of the seventh and the top of the tenth, defeating the New Orleans Zephyrs 6-5.
The Zephyrs jumped on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second, as Bryan Petersen connected on a RBI double, scoring Brett Carroll.
NOLA took a two-run lead in the following inning, when Brian Barden laced a RBI single, plating John Raynor.
Las Vegas followed with four runs in the next frame, as nine 51s' came to bat. The inning was highlighted by a three-run triple by McCoy, scoring Danny Perales, Aaron Mathews and former Zephyr Manny Mayorson.
The Z's would notch things up a four apiece in the following half inning, as Gookie Dawkins blasted his ninth home run of the 2010 campaign, a two-run shot that scored Danny Richar.
New Orleans took the lead once again in the bottom of the fifth inning when Richar collected his lone hit of the game, a RBI single scoring Barden.
But the 51s would tie the game once again, this time at five apiece, as former Z Jason Lane notched a RBI double.
A late rally by the Z's was halted in the bottom of the tenth inning, as Las Vegas closer Jeremey Accardo earned his 23rd save of the year after grounded out to end the game with runners stranded on second and third.
Reliever Josh Roenicke improved to 8-0 in 2010 after allowing just one walk while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.
Zephyrs reliever Chris Leroux dropped to 0-3 on the year after surrendering one earned run on three hits and a walk.
The Z's and 51s complete the four-game series Friday evening as southpaw Wes Whisler (1-6, 7.38) squares off against righty Shawn Hill (1-0, 3.68).
