50/50 JACKPOT TO START AT $50,000
December 17, 2017 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Saskatchewan Rush News Release
After posting historic 50/50 results last season, the Saskatchewan Rush Lacrosse Club wants to keep that momentum entering this coming season. As the Rush return home December 23rd at SaskTel Centre, this game's 50/50 jackpot will start at $50,000 from the moment doors open at 6:00PM.
The Saskatchewan Rush 50/50 program is proudly presented by Dakota Dunes Casino.
Proceeds from the 50/50 draw this game will be split between the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre, the Children's Learning Museum and the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association. Over $1,200,000 has been raised for Saskatchewan Minor Lacrosse via the 50/50 program, the past two seasons.
UNVEILING OF CO-OP FIELD AT SASKTEL CENTRE
The wait is over. The Saskatchewan Rush will be playing on new turf December 23rd, as they take on the New England Black Wolves at SaskTel Centre.
The playing surface known as Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre, features Rush Founding Partners: Co-op, Original 16, CTV, Tim Hortons, SaskTel, Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association, and Shoeless Joe's.
RUSH PARTNER WITH SASKATOON FOOD BANK & LEARNING CENTRE
The Saskatchewan Rush urges fans to bring a non-perishable food item to SaskTel Centre this December 23rd, in support of the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.
This holiday season we invite you to picture yourself in someone else's shoes, and imagine for a moment, that their reality is yours. Anyone, at any time, can find themselves forced to rely on a food bank.
"When I lost my job, I sold everything I owned until I was living like a homeless person in my own home. With my last two dollars, I put gas in my car and drove to the food bank."
The Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre is now seeing 20,000 people a month accessing Emergency Food Baskets - almost half are children.Â
2017 NLL WESTERN CHAMPIONS BANNER TO BE
?RAISED IN PRE-GAME SHOW
Despite the bitter ending to last season, a celebration is in order. The Saskatchewan Rush are 3-time defending Champions of the NLL West Division!
An NLL Western Division Champions banner will be raised December 23rd, prior to ball-drop at SaskTel Centre. Fans should get seated early, to avoid missing any of the festivities.
SANTA, AT A RUSH GAME?!
Kids of Rush Nation will have one last chance to meet Santa before the big day, during the Post-Game Autograph Session down on the field.
This will be Santa's second appearance at a Saskatchewan Rush game, after bringing holiday cheer to SaskTel Centre during last year's exhibition game vs. Calgary.
THE RETURN OF BOLD AND LAFONTAINE
Both Aaron Bold and John Lafontaine will be back in Saskatchewan this December 23rd, but they won't be wearing green...
Back in August, the Saskatchewan Rush traded Aaron Bold, John Lafontaine, the 8th overall selection in the 2017 Entry Draft and the second round selection in the 2018 Entry Draft to New England for Evan Kirk. All eyes will be on both starting goaltenders in this season's Saskatchewan Rush Home Opener.
Tickets still remain for the Saskatchewan Rush Home Opener, and can be purchased on Ticketmaster or by calling the Rush office at (306)-978-7874.
