Colorado Eagles News Release

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Colorado Eagles, 1-0, in Game 3 of the teams' Western Conference Quarterfinals series in the ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven battle. Tyler Beskorowany stopped 20 shots to hand the Eagles' their first playoff shutout at home in the team's 10-year history, and Adrian Foster provided the only goal the Steelheads would need via a 5-on-3 power play.

The teams skated to a scoreless first frame, with the Steelheads out-shooting the Eagles, 9-6. Colorado went 0-for-2 on the power play, while Idaho went 0-for-1.

The contest continued to be close through the second stanza, as Colorado out-shot Idaho, 9-7. The Steelheads, however, were able to get on the board by using a 5-on-3 advantage eight and a half minute in. On the play, Tyler Gron found Foster with a back-door feed through the crease for a tap-in tally past Adam Brown.

Just like the first period, neither team was able to score in the final frame, making Idaho's lone goal the only one scored in the entire game. The teams will meet again Sunday night & Tuesday night at the Budweiser Events Center.
