Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH) - The City of Eastlake in partnership with the Lake County Captains has announced that there will be a 4th of July celebration at Classic Park. The evening event will feature entertainment by three local bands and a fireworks extravaganza. The gates will open at 7:00 PM and there is no admission charge or charge for parking at the Classic Park Gold Lot. The Concessions stands at the park will be open as no food or beverages will be permitted to be bought into the stadium.
"We are excited to be partnering with the administration of the City of Eastlake to bring the city-sponsored fireworks show to Classic Park in 2008. We believe the venue lends itself to this type of event and think the residents will enjoy the extra long show to celebrate Independence Day," said Captains General Manager Kevin Brodzinski. The City of Eastlake and the Captains are both contributing financially to make this event happen.
There are two bands that have been confirmed. The Classic Rock band Generation Landslide and the Rock-n-Roll / Country band Guns for Hire will perform beginning right at 7:00 PM. The fireworks will begin at approximately 10:00 PM.
Tickets for all Captains home games are on sale at the Classic Park box office, by phone at 440-954-WINS (9467) or at captainsbaseball.com.
The Lake County Captains are a Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and play their home games at Classic Park in Eastlake, at the corners of State Route 91 and Vine Street. For more information about the Captains, please visit the team's official website at www.captainsbaseball.com.
