42 Players Selected in Final Two Rounds of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft

January 20, 2015 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release

NEW YORK (Tuesday, January 20, 2015) - The final two rounds of the MLS SuperDraft were held today with Major League Soccer's 20 clubs drafting a total of 42 players. The selected players will now have the opportunity impress their clubs during preseason training camps in an effort to secure a spot on the final roster.

MLS clubs are not restricted on the number of players attending preseason training camps, but each team must be roster and salary budget compliant by February 27.

The first two rounds of the MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas took place in Philadelphia last week as all 20 MLS clubs selected from a pool of over 250 college standouts, Generation adidas players and youth internationals. With the first overall pick of the draft, Orlando City SC selected Canadian U-20 international and Generation adidas signee Cyle Larin for the club's first-ever draft selection. History was also made when Syracuse University goalkeeper Alex Bono was selected by Toronto FC, becoming the first player in League history to be drafted while with the senior U.S. men's national team.
