20th Anniversary Season Tips Off Friday Night

Sioux Falls, S.D. (November 25, 2008) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce tips off its 20th Anniversary season on Friday night at home against the Iowa Energy at 7 p.m. In celebration of 20 seasons of Skyforce basketball the team has introduced a 20 Seasons logo, a commemorative uniform patch and online voting for the 20 greatest players in team history.

"It is a historical milestone for our organization to be entering our 20th season," said Skyforce owner/team president Mike Heineman. "Throughout the years Sioux Falls has been the home of many great minor league basketball memories."

To commemorate the 20th season the 20 Seasons logo will appear throughout 2008-09 in-arena, on NBA Futurecast and on skyforceonline.com. The commemorative 20 Seasons patches will be displayed on players' shorts during the season.

Fans can vote for the 20 greatest players in team history until April 1, 2009. One lucky fan who votes will win two (2) round trip vouchers for air travel from Sioux Falls to Las Vegas, Orlando or Phoenix. The 20 greatest players will be revealed at the final regular season home game on Saturday, April 11.

The home opener is on Friday, Nov. 28 against the Iowa Energy. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena. Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs are on sale for the 2008-09 season.
