
2023 Petes Training Camp Day 3 Wrap Up: Scrimmages and Player Reassignments

(Peterborough, ON) - Peterborough Petes 2023 Training Camp presented by Sign-A-Fied, East Side Mario's and Hybrid Sports continued on Wednesday, August 31 with six more one-ice scrimmages. Following the scrimmages, 17 players were reassigned to their respective teams.
Connor Lockhart had five points on the day to bring his scrimmage total to eight, while Brennan Othmann scored four times. Cam Gauvreau continued his strong camp, scoring twice and adding an assist for a two-day total of five points. Liam Sztuska and Christopher Quizi led the way in net with a shutout each.

"We've been impressed with camp to this point." noted Petes General Manager Michael Oke. "We had to make a lot of difficult decisions today, but we're looking forward to continuing to monitor these players throughout the season. After a couple great days of scrimmages, we're excited to see what the guys bring to the Maroon and White game tomorrow."
Training Camp will resume on Friday, September 1 with the annual Maroon and White Game. The game is open to the public and will be streamed live on the Petes Facebook page. Rosters for the game will be released on Friday morning.
