2021 Ironworks Fitness Sting Training Camp Details

Sarnia, Ontario: For the first time since March 8, 2020, Sarnia Sting Hockey will return to the ice of the Progressive Auto Sales Arena as 2021 Ironworks Fitness Sting Training Camp gets underway Monday August 30th at 8 AM EST.

Returning Sting players and prospects will meet in Sarnia to begin Training Camp with Fitness Testing beginning at 9 AM EST. All Ironworks Fitness Training Camp practices and scrimmages will be closed to the public; however, fans will be able to watch Wednesday & Thursday's Team Staubitz vs. Team Mancari scrimmages streamed live on Facebook. Fans can also access behind the scenes Ironworks Fitness Training Camp content on all Sarnia Sting social media channels.

The Sting are preparing for fans to return to the Hive for live action beginning with the Annual Black & White game in support of the United Way Sarnia-Lambton on August 30th as well as all pre-season games beginning Saturday, September 4th when the Sting take on the London Knights at 7:05 PM EST. All details regarding tickets, capacity, and safety protocols for these events will be made available Monday, August 30th.

After being promoted to General Manager in July of 2020 Dylan Seca is ready for Monday's start.

"With the long pause and all the hurdles these players have had to endure, we are anxiously awaiting the start of Orientation Camp on August 30th and our Main Training Camp on September 1st. The entire Sarnia Sting family shares the anticipation and excitement." Comments Seca.

"We are still waiting on some players to meet international expectations, while others require some additional time to meet all COVID-19 protocols. We anticipate a highly competitive camp. There are holes to fill, and we believe we have the players ready to make the jump into the Ontario Hockey League," adds the Sting GM.
