
2018 First Round Selection Jacob Perreault Commits to the Sarnia Sting

SARNIA, ON - General Manager, Nick Sinclair announced today that 2018 first round pick, Jacob Perreault has agreed to terms on a Standard Player Agreement and Education Package with the Sarnia Sting.
Perreault recently led his Chicago Mission U16 team to a USA Hockey National Championship this past April. Chosen 19th overall by the Sting in the 2018 Priority Selection, the highly skilled forward led the High-Performance Hockey League (HPHL) in both goals and points this past season, racking up an impressive 14 goals and 11 assists in 25 games played. The five-foot-11, 195-pound Perreault had 50 points in 47 games overall this season.
Jacob, the son of former National Hockey League forward Yanic Perreault, is scheduled to suit up for Team HNO in the upcoming OHL Gold Cup, beginning May 3rd in Kitchener, ON. The annual showcase event features top under-16 talent in the province. You can follow Perreault at the OHL Gold Cup online here.
Sinclair comments on todays' signing, "This is a very exciting day for the Sting organization. Jacob is a special player and we are thrilled to be able to add him to our team. He plays the game with intelligence and sees the ice extremely well. He possesses a dynamic skill-set and ability to produce offense. Jacob plays with a high level of compete that is infectious amongst teammates."

Sting fans can get their first glimpse of Perreault in the black and gold when Orientation Camp opens at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena May 12th, Further Camp details to be released.
