
2011 WHL Bantam Draft Lottery Tomorrow

Swift Current, SK - The Swift Current Broncos will be one of six non-playoff teams that will participate in the annual 2011 WHL Bantam Draft Lottery which will be held tomorrow at the Western Hockey League Office in Calgary, AB. The WHL Bantam Draft Lottery will determine the order of the first six picks in the 1st round of the WHL Bantam Draft.
There will be a total of 21 balls used in the lottery and the allotment of balls will be as follows:
* Calgary Hitmen - Six Balls
* Swift Current Broncos - Five Balls
* Regina Pats - Four Balls
* Lethbridge Hurricanes - Three Balls
* Seattle Thunderbirds - Two Balls
* Kamloops Blazers - One Ball
Only one ball is drawn in the Lottery and each team can only advance a maximum of two positions in the Bantam Draft.
If.
* The Broncos win the lottery, the Broncos will have the first pick.
* The Hitmen win the lottery, the Broncos will have the second pick
* The Pats win the lottery, the Broncos will have the third pick
* The Hurricanes win the lottery, the Broncos will have the third pick
* The Thunderbirds win the lottery, the Broncos will have the second pick
* The Blazers win the lottery, the Broncos will have the second pick
The second and following rounds will be in the inverse order of the 2010-11 regular season standings.
The highest drafted player ever by the Broncos was Geordie Wudrick who was selected in the 1st round/2nd overall of the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft.
