The Peoria Rivermen are proud to announce their promotional calendar for the 2010-11 season is packed with great giveaways and fantastic promotions from start to finish. Free food night, which drew a franchise record 10, 123 fans last season will return on April 9, 2011 to help celebrate Fan Appreciation Night.
The promotional schedule kicks off with a new spin on an old giveaway when the Rivermen welcome the Manitoba Moose to open the season at Carver Arena on Oct. 8. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive reusable static cling schedules courtesy of Heritage Bank. No refrigerator necessary, these schedules will stick to almost any surface!
Opening night is just the first of 11 giveaway nights that Rivermen fans will be treated to throughout the season. A series of four commemorative photo canvases will be given away featuring Rivermen Hall of Famer Michel Mongeau (Dec. 11), former Rivermen and current member of the St. Louis Blues David Backes (Jan. 29), and celebration photos of both the 1990-91 Turner Cup Championship Team (Feb. 25), and the 1999-2000 Kelly Cup Championship Team (April 8) to the first 2,500 fans on those nights.
Bobbleheads are back as the first 2,250 fans in attendance on Jan. 15, 2011 will receive a Peoria-native Jim Thome Rivermen bobblehead, presented by CEFCU. On Nov. 20, OSF St. Francis Medical Center will giveaway Rivermen hats to the first 2.500 fans.
Coca-Cola/Fun on the Run Family Sundays return for another season featuring $1 tickets in the upper bowl for children 12 and under. Also hot dogs, chips, and coke will be available for $1 each for the one hour prior to all Sunday games. After each Sunday game this year fans can come down onto the ice and skate with the team (please bring your own skates).
