2009 Storm youth basketball camp set for July 7-10

SEATTLE, Thursday, March 12, 2009 - Boys and girls ages 7-14 are invited to attend the 2009 Storm Youth Basketball Camp scheduled for Tuesday, July 7 through Friday, July 10 at the Furtado Center, the official practice facility of the Seattle Storm.

The $200 registration fee (per camper) includes one ticket to the Storm's annual Kids Day game vs. San Antonio on Tuesday, July 7 at noon at KeyArena. All campers will receive instruction from local, high school and college coaches and players. Storm players and coaches will be on hand Wednesday, July 8 to give special instruction and encouragement to campers.

The Seattle Storm will open its 2009 WNBA schedule on Saturday, June 6 in a 1 p.m. matchup vs. the Monarchs at ARCO Arena in Sacramento. The Storm returns to Seattle on Sunday, June 7 for its first KeyArena home game at 6 p.m., also against the Monarchs. The team's June 7, 2009 home opener falls on the 10th anniversary of the city of Seattle being selected as one of four cities to receive a WNBA expansion team in 2000.
