The 2008 WHL Bantam Draft lottery is set to take place on Wednesday morning, March 19th, at 11:00am local time.

A total of six teams will be involved: Portland Winter Hawks (6 balls), Red Deer Rebels (5 balls), Prince George Cougars [4 balls (SAS)], Edmonton Oil Kings (3 balls), Prince Albert Raiders (2 balls), and the Saskatoon Blades (1ball).

The Blades will have 2 draft choices in the 1st round of this year's WHL Bantam Draft as the team has their own pick, as well as Prince George's pick as part of last year's Devin Setoguchi trade.

In the lottery a team can move up a maximum of 2 selections and can move down a maximum of 1 selection. The Blades will have the 1st and 6th overall choices if Prince George's ball is selected. Other possible scenarios are:

- Remain as they currently stand (3rd and 6th)

- Saskatoon ball selected (3rd and 4th)

- Edmonton or Prince Albert ball selected (4th and 6th)

Information on which draft positions the Saskatoon Blades will hold will be released on Wednesday.
