
2008-09 CHL Schedule to be Released Friday

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the 2008-09 regular season schedule will be released on Friday, July 18th. The 512-game schedule begins on Friday, October 17th with seven games and concludes on Saturday, March 21st with eight games. The CHL will be made up of 16 teams during the 2008-09 season with teams divided into two conferences and four divisions. The newest CHL team will be the expansion Rapid City Rush who begin play this fall at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Arena in Rapid City, South Dakota.
The Rush will play in the Northwest Division along with the Colorado Eagles, Rocky Mountain Rage and Wichita Thunder. The Northeast Division will consist of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, the Mississippi RiverKings, the Oklahoma City Blazers and the Tulsa Oilers.
The Southern Conference will be made up of the Southwest Division's Amarillo Gorillas, Arizona Sundogs, New Mexico Scorpions and Odessa Jackalopes and the Southeast Division's Corpus Christi IceRays, Laredo Bucks, Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Texas Brahmas.
