Vancouver, B.C. - On Tuesday, the BC Hockey Hall of Fame announced that the 2007 Memorial Cup Champion Vancouver Giants will be inducted into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame. The 2006-07 Giants compiled a 45-17-10 record and were led offensively by Milan Lucic's 68 points. The team was coached by WHL legend Don Hay and was built by General Manager Scott Bonner.

The Giants defeated the Chilliwack Bruins, Everett Silvertips, and Prince George Cougars en route to the WHL Final against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Medicine Hat won the series in seven games but as the Memorial Cup Host, the Giants still had a berth into the Memorial Cup Tournament. The Giants had a 2-1 record in the tournament before meeting up for a rematch in the finals with the Tigers. Vancouver won 3-1 and Lucic won tournament MVP.

Giants Player Development Coach Brent Seabrook is also set to be inducted into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame as a player.
