
2005 MLS rookie of the year Michael Parkhurst coming to Holman

(Nashua, NH, Aug. 13, 2006) New England Revolution's Michael Parkhurst will be throwing out the first pitch and signing autographs at the Tuesday, Aug. 15 game versus the Worcester Tornadoes at Historic Holman Stadium. The club also announced that on Wednesday, Aug. 16, one lucky fan will win a trip to Foxwoods, leaving during the game!
Parkhurst, the 2005 MLS Rookie of the year, was the Revolution's top SuperDraft choice in 2005 and proved himself as a pro from day one of his Revs career. Parkhurst has become a fan favorite in his native state of Rhode Island and throughout New England. The Providence native is the first-ever Revs draft choice to grow up a fan of the club.
All youth and adult soccer players will receive a special discount for the Tuesday, Aug. 15 game and there will be on-field soccer promotions all night. Every Tuesday game is Ladies Night with one female getting in free with one paid adult admission. Along with the special appearance by Parkhurst, the club will be giving away Red Sox / Yankees tickets to the Aug. 20 game at Fenway Park. Steve Miller Band concert tickets will also be given away to the Aug. 20 show at the Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center in Gilford, NH.
Casino / Pack your bags night on Aug. 16 will be a great evening with fans gambling with funny money in order to win fun prizes and support cancer research at the same time. One lucky fan will be selected from the crowd to go to Foxwoods Resort and Casino during the game so make sure you have your bags packed for a two-night stay down in Connecticut. The Pride will also be giving away concert tickets to the Allman Brothers Band with Government Mule concert at the Tweeter Center on Aug. 20.
The Nashua Pride, entering their first year of play in the eight-team Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, plays their home games at Historic Holman Stadium.
