Flint, Mich. - The Firebirds are set to face the Owen Sound Attack in their second-to-last home game of the season this Wednesday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) at the Dort Federal Event Center in Flint, Mich.

Wednesday marks the fourth and final game between the Firebirds and the Attack this season. In the first meeting between these clubs on Sept 23, the Firebirds earned a 4-3 shootout victory in Owen Sound. Maurizio Colella scored the shootout-winning goal. The Attack got redemption in Flint on Nov. 19, posting a 6-4 win. In December, Owen Sound recorded a 5 - 4 victory over Flint to steal a 2 - 1 lead in the season series. Wednesday, the Firebirds are looking to even the series in the final match.

Flint enters the contest having won three of their past five games. Most recently, the Firebirds fell to the London Knights 4 - 3 on an unfortunate bounce that resulted in the late go-ahead goal Saturday night in front of a near capacity crowd of 3,930 fans at the Dort Federal Event Center. Overall, Flint holds a season record of 19-41-3-2. On home ice, the Firebirds are 13-18-1-0 this season.

Owen Sound has also won three of their last five games, that being their last three straight. For the season, the Attack hold a record of 35-22-3-5 and rank third in the Midwest Division. In the 10-team Western Conference, Owen Sound ranks fifth. The Attack are fighting for home-ice advantage in the OHL Playoffs. They are two points behind the London Knights, who they will face regardless in the first round. This season, Owen Sound holds a road record of 15-14-3-0.

On special teams, Owen Sound has the 10th-best power-play in the OHL, scoring 20.9% of the time. Flint is 17th in the OHL with a 17.2% rate of success on the man-advantage. The attack are 10th on the penalty-kill at 79.7% while the Firebirds are killing penalties at a 73.6% clip.

Wednesday marks the Firebirds' inaugural "All Credit Unions Night" sponsored by ELGA Credit Union, Financial Plus Credit Union, Flint Area School Employees Credit Union, SageLink Credit Union, Security Credit Union and Dort Federal Credit Union.

Wednesday is also a 'double redemption' game for all season ticket holders and sponsors: If you've missed any games this season, you can redeem your unused season ticket(s) to get two for one tickets on Wednesday or in advance at the box office.

Wednesday also marks the final "College Night" of the season, featuring $2 beers and $2 hot dogs for all fans in attendance. Additionally, all college students with valid identification will also receive $2 off admission. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at the Dort Federal Event Center in Flint.

The Flint Firebirds, the Ontario Hockey League and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Windsor Essex County Branch are teaming up to raise awareness about the importance of mental health. A CMHA-run kiosk along with Genesee Health System Customer Services, Communication and Public Relations Manager Renee Keswick will be available for discussion on the arena concourse so fans can learn more about mental health. Pictures featuring Flint Firebirds players promoting the importance of mental health, including public address announcements and video board messages will be played throughout the event.
