2 Goals Power Hartford to a Draw against Swope Park

Hartford Athletic News Release
Saturday saw a feisty fixture take place at Dillon Stadium between Hartford and Swope Park Rangers. Athletic's long awaited return home was met with a grand-stand welcoming from the fans, with over 5,000 fans turning up to make Dillon rock. That energy clearly made its way towards the pitch. The first 45 ended with everything but a goal. A combined eight shots and five yellow cards came before the half's end.
The second half started brightly for Athletic, managing two goals in the first 20 through a Ryan Williams tap-in and a Danny Barrera curler respectively. Sebastian Dalgaard threatened per usual via his trickery on the flank but more notably a volley that looked to dip in the goal but unluckily bounced off the crossbar. Swope Park showed they still had much to play for as they responded quickly to the second goal in the 67th minute through Ayyoub Allach. A bit of back of back and forth and three yellow cards later saw the game end with an upsetting finish as Wilson Harris made it 2-2 at the death.
The Boys in Green won't have much time to rest on this one. The lights turn on again at Dillon Stadium in just four days for a special Wednesday night match against Birmingham Legion FC at 8 PM in the USL Championship's Game of the Week! Click here to get your tickets!
