1991 Harwich Roughriders' duo in action for Frenzy

November 15, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Harwich, MA. The ABA Cape Cod Frenzy are bringing the past back to the hardwood at Harwich High School this Sunday at 605pm. Two stars from the 1990-1991 Harwich Roughriders' basketball team will be in action this Sunday when the Frenzy faces the Montreal Matrix at Harwich High School. The game will be a rematch of the Frenzy's first win of the season, when they knocked off the Matrix 110-108 last Friday night in Canada.

Chad Kodak, a 6-4 shooting guard and a 1,000 point scorer in high school will be in uniform as the Frenzy's "13th Man." ABA rules permit a 13th player celebrity/guest to be added to the home team's roster. Joining him in the backcourt will be Frenzy player and assistant coach Heath "Noopy" Teixeira. Kodak and Teixeira led Harwich High School to back to back trips to the State Final in '90 and '91, held in the fabled Boston Garden, under legendary Cape Cod coach Glenn Rose.

The Frenzy are 2-0 on the season with victories against the Matrix and the Quebec Kebekwa. They visit the Strong Island Sound on Saturday. Tickets are on sale now for all Frenzy home games via E-ticketing at www.capecodfrenzy.com. For more information, contact Frenzy GM Ian McCarthy at ian@capecodfrenzy.com or visit www.abalive.com.
