Silverbacks sign 7'2" Jeff Daisley
November 15, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Buffalo Silverbacks News Release
Standing at a mere 7 feet 2 inches, among the Top 15 in national rankings for blocked shots and leading his college in all time blocked shots, Jeff Daisley is a welcomed addition to the Buffalo Silverbacks. Daisley attended Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA where he also led his team in rebounding with 127 total boards and 4.7 per game average. At each game Daisley was a force to be reckoned with and it will be no different here in Buffalo. "Do Your Best, Never Quit" is not only the way Daisley looks at basketball, but a motto that he has adopted in daily life. Daisley will be a definite power on the Silverbacks and help them to defeat any challenger.
The Silverbacks are traveling to Rochester for the Razorsharks season opener tomorrow, November 16th, at the Blue Cross Arena. The next Silverbacks home game is Friday, November 24th as they host Rochester at Buffalo State College Arena.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
