13-Run Inning in Second Game Highlights Jammers Doubleheader Sweep

The Jammers won game one 9-6, a continuation of a suspended game from July 3rd. The Jammers were up 5-2 at the time of the game being suspended. The Jammers padded their lead when Anthony Gomez hit a three run homerun in the 5th inning. Jake Esch pitched four and one third innings, giving up four earned runs before giving way to Nick Wittgren. Wittgren closed out the game going two and one third innings earning the save.

In game two the Jammers jumped out early scoring thirteen runs in the second inning and winning the game 19-2. The game was highlighted by centerfielder Michael Main having four hits and 7 RBI. Jesus Solorzano also had a big night, hitting two homeruns and driving in four runs. Making his first start of the season, Beau Wright went four innings and gave up two earned runs. In game two every Jammers starter had at least one hit. Bryan Ellington picked up the win for the Jammers going two innings and striking out one.

The Jammers are back in action tomorrow night against the Auburn Doubledays at Historic Dietrich Park, the game starts at 7:05. Tomorrow night is the first Smith's Hot Dogs Dollar Night of the season. If you come out you can get $1 general admission tickets, $1 Smith's hotdogs, $1 sodas, and $1 Budweiser Drafts.
