106th Grey Cup Ticket Sales Surpass 47,000

(Edmonton) - CFL fans have responded and the number of tickets sold to the 106 th Grey Cup Presented by Shaw have surpassed 47,000.
Tickets to the 106 th Grey Cup went on sale to the general public today at 2:00 p.m. (MST). Seating inside The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium is 55,819.
Len Rhodes, President and CEO of the Edmonton Eskimos and Co-Chair of the Grey Cup Festival today said, "Edmonton Eskimo season seat holders and all other CFL team season ticket holders had first access to purchase their tickets to the 106th Grey Cup and they responded overwhelmingly. We're absolutely thrilled at the early response and momentum with tickets sales, and we encourage people to secure their tickets as soon as possible so they don't miss out," he said.
Duane Vienneau, Executive Director of the 2018 Grey Cup Festival Committee today said, "As of 5:00 p.m., we have sold 47,200 tickets to the 106 th Grey Cup, coming to Edmonton November 25. That puts us ahead of where we were on day one of ticket sales back in 2010, the year Edmonton sold out the game in just six days," he said.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster at ticketmaster.ca/greycup or by phone at 1-855-985-5000. Local fans can purchase their Grey Cup tickets in-person at the Eskimos Team Store located inside Commonwealth Stadium (11000 Stadium Rd).
