Comets Outlast Penguins, Win 3-2 in Shootout

December 20, 2025 - Wilkes-Barre Township, PA - The Comets visited the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Saturday to conclude the season series and were victorious 3-2 in a shootout. The Penguins came out with a strong start, testing Jakub Malek early on, but the Comets' netminder was confident out of the gate. December 19, 2025 - Utica, NY - The Comets hosted the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday and were edged 4-2. It was quite the start for the Comets as Jonathan Gruden and Kyle Criscuolo found themselves in on a 2-on-0 opportunity just 30 seconds into the game, but Penguins netminder Sergei Murashov came up with a big stop. December 19, 2025 - Utica, NY - Rock League, curling's first professional league, has announced the dates and locations for its first two seasons, highlighted by a four-day stop at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, running Thursday, January 28 through Sunday, January 31, 2027. December 17, 2025 - Rochester, NY - The Comets visited the Blue Cross Arena on Wednesday and defeated the Amerks by a score of 3-2. The Amerks had their skating legs early on and drew two penalties within the first six minutes which put them on a 5-on-3 advantage. On the ensuing power play, Konsta Helenius set up Isak Rosen who rifled one home from the right-wing circle for his team-leading 10th goal of the year to give the Amerks the 1-0 lead at 6:12 of the first.
