Appalachian League to Play USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Stars and Stripes

May 4, 2026 - CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Appalachian League announced that it will expand its exhibition schedule against the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team (CNT) to play six games over three days between June 27-29. The exhibition series will feature three days of doubleheaders, including four games played by Appalachian League Teams and two featuring the Appalachian League Select Team, with all matchups played against the CNT Stars and Stripes squads. Kingsport Axmen Announce Naming Rights Deal with Ballad Heath

May 1, 2026 - KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The Kingsport Axmen are proud to announce a new five-year naming rights partnership with Ballad Health, strengthening a shared commitment to community, wellness and the continued growth of baseball in the region. Starting with the 2026 season, the Axmen's home field will be named Ballad Health Field, while the stadium itself will remain Hunter Wright Stadium. Elizabethton River Riders Announce Coaching Staff for 2026 Season

April 15, 2026 - ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. - The Elizabethton River Riders have announced their coaching staff for the 2026 Appalachian League season. Joining manager Jeremy Owens will be Josh Lucas as pitching coach, Andy Tomberlin as hitting coach, Tommy Gregg as fourth coach and Anibal Hernandez as trainer. Josh begins his second season as pitching coach for Elizabethton and his third season as a pitching coach in the Appalachian League. April 14, 2026 - KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The Kingsport Axmen are excited to announce the coaching staff for the 2026 Appalachian League season, led by returning manager Rick Adair as he begins his third season in Kingsport. Adair has guided the Axmen to playoff appearances in both 2024 and 2025, and was named the 2025 Appalachian League Manager of the Year after another strong summer in Kingsport.
