Barnstormers Sign Wide Receiver

February 23, 2026 - DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed wide receiver Donald McKinney to the 2026 roster, Head Coach Andre Coles announced today. McKinney (6-3, 190, Texas Southern) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his rookie Indoor Football League (IFL) season. Collegiately, McKinney began his career at Santa Ana College where he spent one season catching 17 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns. February 23, 2026 - FISHERS - The Fishers Freight announced on Thursday that they have signed defensive back Donald "Donnie" Lewis Jr. for the upcoming 2026 season. Lewis Jr., 6'1, joins the Freight from the Massachusetts Pirates (now the Orlando Pirates) The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native is a former seventh round NFL draft pick of the Cleveland Browns. February 23, 2026 - FISHERS - The Fishers Freight announced on Thursday that they have signed defensive back Kendarius Smith for the upcoming 2026 season. Smith, 5'10, is a Meridian, Mississippi native who will join the Freight after one season in the Canadian Football League. In his collegiate career, Smith played defensive back for Nicholls State University for two seasons. As a junior, he led the Southland and ranked 12th in the FCS with 14 pass breakups.
