
Wardogs set to begin training camp

Columbus, GA - It's time to get back to work for the Columbus Wardogs as arenafootball2 (af2) teams open training camp on Wednesday, March 17. The Wardogs have planned a busy camp with a scrimmage in Huntsville, AL and an international preseason game against Australia.
A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium continues to serve as the team's training camp headquarters. The Wardogs will share the practice field for a few days with Team Down Under. The visiting team will practice at Memorial Stadium from March 25 through March 27. Freedom Bowl II will be played Sunday, March 28 inside the Columbus Civic Center. Head coach John Fourcade will have to submit his final 21-man roster to the league the next day.
The Wardogs open their 4th season on Saturday, April 10 at Wilkes-Barre, PA. The first home game is Saturday, April 17 against Cape Fear.

Wednesday, March 17 â Training camp begins (35 man roster), practice at 6:30pm ET
Thursday, March 18 â Practice at 6:30pm
Friday, March 19 â Practice at 9:30am and 3:30pm
Saturday, March 20 â Practice at 9:30am and 3:30pm
Sunday, March 21 â First cut down, roster trimmed to 30 players
Monday, March 22 â Practice at 6:30pm
Tuesday, March 23 â Practice at 6:30pm
Wednesday, March 24 â Scrimmage game vs. Tennessee Valley Vipers in Huntsville, AL 2:00pm CT
Thursday, March 25 â Practice at 6:30pm
Friday, March 26 â Practice at 9:30pm
Saturday, March 27 â Practice at 9:30am and 3:30pm
Sunday, March 28 â Freedom Bowl II (Wardogs vs. Australia) in Columbus Civic Center 3:00pm ET
Monday, March 29 â Final cut down, roster trimmed to 21 players
