TREY BURKE NAMED NBA G LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

WHITE PLAINS, NY, Dec. 11, 2017 - Westchester Knicks guard Trey Burke today was named the NBA G League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 10. The honor is the first for Westchester this season and the third in team history.

Burke (6-1, 190) averaged 31.3 points in Westchester's last four games, including a 39-point performance on Dec. 4 in a 117-94 win over the Maine Red Claws. With a field goal percentage of 56.3 percent, Burke hit 16-of-28 shots from beyond the arc and went 11-of-13 from the line this past week.

The Knicks affiliate player is currently the NBA G League's second-leading scorer with an average of 25.3 points per game; his .514 field goal percentage is tenth-best in the league. In addition, Burke is averaging 5.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. Earlier this season, he broke Westchester's all-time scoring record in the team's third game of the season with a 43-point performance at Delaware on Nov. 7.

Previous Performer of the Week honors for Westchester include Chasson Randle (2016-17) and DaJuan Summers (2015-16).

The Westchester Knicks next play the Reno Bighorns, the Sacramento Kings' affiliate, tomorrow, Dec. 12 at 10:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on MSG 2 and will be available streaming via MSG GO and Facebook Live.
