Quad City Steamwheelers News Release
(Moline, Ill.) - The Quad City Steamwheelers announced today that they will donate a dollar from every walk-up ticket sale at the i wireless Center on Friday before the game against Tennessee Valley (7-4) to area flood relief efforts.
"We understand that the flooding in this area has been devastating to many people," said Shawn Brown, the Steamwheelers Vice President/General Manager. "As a member of the community, we wanted to find a positive way to give back and we determined donating a dollar from every ticket sold at the box office on Friday would be a good way to assist those in need."
Friday night's game is also Galaxy1 night and the first 2,000 fans on the field after the game will receive a free 2008 Deck Mates dance team poster. In other promotions going on throughout the night, the U.S. Navy's rock and roll band will perform pre-game in the main entrance of the arena and the team will also be raising money with Old Navy for Habitat for Humanity through a silent auction.
