Albany Conquest Summer Kick Off This Friday

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Conquest announced today the Conquest Summer Kick Off presented by the Geico Albany Office on Friday as part of the pre-game block party at the Times Union Center.

This Friday, June 20th, the Conquest are officially welcoming in Summer with pre-game bash prior to their kick off 7:00 pm kick off with the Daytona Beach ThunderBirds. From 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm fans will get to sample free wings from Bombers, Broadway Joe's, Buffalo Wings & Rings, McIntyre's Pub, Mild Wally's and The Sports Grill and their votes will decide which restaurant has the Best Wings In Albany. The winner will be announced in an on field ceremony at halftime. The pre-game block party will also feature a live performance from the band Sirsy, beginning at 5:30 pm and running throughout Best Wings In Albany contest.

The Hog Club at New Brunswick Harley-Davidson will have bikes one display during the block party and will escort the Total Tan Treasures out on the field at halftime. Friday's game is also 2008 Team Photo Giveaway night, the Conquest will be giving away free 2008 Conquest Team pictures to fans at the gate. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game for the post-game autograph session on the field with the players before heading over to Broadway Joe's for the official Conquest Post-Game Party immediately following the game.

The Conquest are preparing for a Week 13 rematch with the expansion Daytona Beach ThunderBirds on Friday, June 20th at the Times Union Center. Albany lost to Daytona Beach 62-53 on May 8th in Florida; it was their first ever meeting. Friday's game is scheduled for a 7:00 pm kickoff at the Times Union Center.
