SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have recalled forward Jonathon Simmons from the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League.
Simmons, 6-6/195, has averaged 17.3 points, 4.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 35.4 minutes in three total games with the Austin Spurs this season. He most recently posted 20 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks for Austin against the Reno Bighorns on March 18.
In his rookie season with San Antonio, Simmons is averaging 5.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 14.0 minutes in 48 appearances with the Spurs.
