\'Sharks Add Kicker for Playoff Push

Atlantic City, NJ, June 9, 2004 â The CardSharks have added Kicker Matt Magrone to take over the team's placekicking duties for the remainder of the season. Magrone, a current criminal justice major at St. John's University, was originally set to kick for the Red Storm this past season before the program folded.
Magrone is 4 for 12 on field goals this season, and has hit 50% on PAT attempts. Magrone has been extremely dangerous from long-range, as he is a perfect 3 for 3 on field goals between 40 yards and 50 yards. His season long stands at 44 yards.
"We are excited to have Matt on board for the remainder of the season," stated fellow Staten Islander and Head Coach Mike Siani. "The most important thing for him to focus on at this point is consistency from short-range distance."
The CardSharks also welcome the return of Defensive Back Wade Fauntleroy and Wide Receiver Ryan Ojeda to the lineup. Fauntleroy suffered a broken hand in the victory against the Greyhound and sat out last game. Wide Receiver Ryan Ojeda, who has been out with a hamstring pull, will return to action this week.
