February 10, 2006 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Tennessee River Sharks News Release

The Tennessee River Sharks continue to sign veteran players for the up coming season. The latest is Sam Hardy. Hardy is a 6'6", 345 lb offensive lineman. He recently played for the Evansville Blue Cats and played for the Knoxville Thunder Cats IPPL championship team.

"Hardy will be a great asset to the River Sharks," Head Coach Chris Carter said. "His veteran leadership is exactly what we need in our first year."

The River Sharks coaching staff is excited about the mix of veteran players they're putting together for their first season in the NIFL. Carter went on to say that this is another positive step in "our quest for the title".

The Tennessee River Sharks season begins March 11 when Monroe, LA comes to Camp Jordan Arena. Kickoff is 7:00 PM. Season tickets are on sale at all Sports Barn locations or by calling 1-877-SHARKS-1.

When asked about how the team was looking, owner Jamie LaMunyon said, "I'm very pleased with the job Coach Carter is doing. I'm even more pleased and excited about how the community is accepting this team as their own. Chattanooga will become a premier city of the National Indoor Football League."

The River Sharks will have their first official meeting of the coaches and players February 11 at the Downtown Sports Barn.
