Tennessee River Sharks News Release
The Tennessee River Sharks have pared down to thirty active players for their upcoming home opener March 11 against the Twin City Gators of Monroe, LA. The River Sharks, a franchise team of the National Indoor Football League, will play their inaugural season at Camp Jordan Arena in East Ridge. The coaches will cut the roster to 25 next week and be down to 22 active players by game time. The thirty man roster is as follows;

Head Coach Chris Carter said, "This roster is subject to change between now and game time, but these are certainly the guys that are making an impression." "I'm feeling good about our offensive game at this point, I feel we've still got work to do with the defense but we'll be ready for Saturday night." Carter said.
The Twin City Gators, the River Sharks first opponent, is also a first year team. "I'm sure this is going to be a huge learning experience for both teams but we have some veterans of the indoor game that we are relying on for the edge." Carter said.
When asked her feeling about opening night owner Jamie LaMunyon said, "I can hardly believe the season is already here, but we're ready. The Scenic City Dancers are going to be delightful, we're going to have a lot of fun promotions and extras to entertain the fans and there's going to be a great football game."
