Tickets Hard to Find in Tennessee
April 6, 2006 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Tennessee River Sharks News Release
"What's going on with tickets? I can't find tickets to the River Sharks game this week!" That's the question being asked and it's a good one. Tickets are hard to find and when they do go on sale at the box office there won't be many left. However, tickets will be on sale at the Camp Jordan Arena box office and Mattress City in Cleveland this Thursday (noon to 5:00pm), Friday (9:00am to 5:00pm) and Saturday (9:00am to game time). Purchase tickets by telephone at 1-877-SHARKS-1.
The River Sharks will play one of the toughest teams in the NIFL this week, the River City Rage of St Louis. The Rage has been in business over six years, they've been to the playoffs several times and won the Indoor Bowl at least once. The Sharks will have to be at their best. That's just what head coach Chris Carter is expecting. "We learned a few things in Alabama last week. Found out where we're strong and where we're not. The guys have worked hard this week to get ready. We've got a few surprises ready for the Rage." he said. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM the doors open at 6:00 PM.
The River Sharks lost to the Montgomery Maulers last week 44-26. "It was a learning experience." coach Carter said. "They were division champs last year and they played like champs against us." The Maulers lost their first game of the season to the Fayetteville Guard. "We scouted that game, they (Maulers) didn't look very good. They were a different team last week." Carter said.
The Sharks are expecting a "sell out" crowd at Camp Jordan Arena this Saturday night. "It will be a great, fun event for everyone from 6 to 96." says owner Jamie LaMunyon. Fans are invited to come early and "tailgate" in the parking lot and are reminded that seating is general admission even in the reserved section. "The early birds get the best seats." LaMunyon said.
