Bulldogs Gear Up For First Home Game

DAYTON, OH- The Dayton Bulldogs will host their first inaugural home game on Sunday, April 9 against the Cincinnati Marshals and fans can commemorate the first home game by bidding on game-day jerseys. All of the jerseys will be autographed by the player who wore that jersey.

The Bulldogs met up with the Marshals on April 1. Following the 62-28 loss, Dayton looks forward to the rematch this weekend. The jerseys will be part of an auction running from when the doors open to the end of the third quarter. To place a bid, fans may visit the merchandise booth. Following the game, the winners will be announced.

During the game, there will be an auction for game day jerseys. Following the game, fans can enjoy an autograph session with the Dayton players. Fans wishing to stay for the session can meet on the deck between Section 200 and Section 202.

The excitement is building for the first home game in Bulldogs' history, and tickets are still available. Ticket costs range from $10-$25. To purchase tickets, visit www.TicketMaster.com or come to the Nutter Center Box Office.

GAME ONE WRAP-UP - The Inaugural Season Opener

DAYTON, OH- During the inaugural season opener, the Dayton Bulldogs lost to the Cincinnati Marshals on Saturday, April 1 at Cincinnati's U.S. Bank Arena. The final score from the Marshal victory was 60-30.

"The score might not have shown it, but the heart was there," said Charles Byrd, an associate of the Dayton Bulldogs. Byrd continued, "The fans definitely had entertainment."

During the game, the Bulldogs had a total of 188 yards on offense. Quarterback Antonio Davis threw for 145 passing yards. The lead Dayton rusher was running back Maurice Douse, who rushed for 43 yards. The Bulldogs had a stellar performance by wide receiver/defensive back Anthony Tyus, who carried the ball six times for 77 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Deyshawn Jones ran for a 20-yard touchdown.

Defensive back Shawn Dawkins led the team in tackles with four solo and three assists. Defensive/offensive lineman Demetrius Blasingame had one sack, and he shared another sack with fullback/linebacker Matt Quinn.
